A reinterpretation using graduated lino printing of Captain Scott's incredible photograph of Mount Hope on his doomed 1911 expedition to the South Pole on Antarctica. The natural majesty of the snow-covered mountain dwarves the hauntingly domestic human scene in the middle ground where a tent, a human figure, a washing line and even walking poles with mittens on them are visible. Meanwhile the foreground shows the laboursome footprints Scott took to compose the shot. Part of a limited series of original prints. Framing options can be discussed.
