Flight
"Movement" was the theme of the 2023 Shrewsbury Arts Trail, which saw the town welcome works by Dali, Hirst, Moore, Hepworth, Matisse, Banksy, Miro and... Kowenicki! I was delighted to have "Flight" selected to be exhibited, and it was snapped up by a collector. A fleeting sighting of a gorgeous kingfisher darting low to the water of the River Cher in the shadows of Chateau Chenonceau inspired this interpretation of the bird's graceful movement.
