The House next to the Church, Strathblane, Scotland
Nestled in the shadows of the gorgeous Campsie Fells in Strathblane sits "The House next to the Church", where my client's father grew up. This was a very special commission for a much-loved father and grandfather to evoke happy memories of his Scottish childhood. Working from a beautiful green leather-bound family book with photographs dating back over 70 years, I worked with the very trusting client to compose a scene which would do justice to both the house and its setting. I always enjoy discussing framing option with clients too and was able to give the client a range of bespoke recommendations for this piece. I think she chose the perfect one!
